Here’s My Pregnancy Blog Update At 31 Weeks Pregnant

What’s it like being 31 weeks pregnant? Here’s my pregnancy blog update at week 31 of pregnancy…

Here’s My 31 Weeks Pregnant Baby Bump:

At 31 weeks pregnant, here’s the bump (and baby number one!)

Going To A Wedding At 31 Weeks Pregnant

Can you remember the birth of your siblings? We’ve talked to Eliza about the baby all along, and she’s so excited. She came to the last growth scan and has chatted about nothing else since (especially how they put cream on my tummy and daddy sat on her knee, apparently). Now I’m 31 weeks pregnant and have a big old bump, she talks to it, has a nickname for the baby, and asks again and again to read the baby books. But at two and a half, I don’t know how much she knows about what’s going to happen, or to what extent she’ll really remember.

There’s nearly four years between me and my younger brother, so I do remember him being born. I remember singing the new baby song for weeks, then my older brother – who must have been a sophisticated seven – waking me up one morning to say our parents weren’t there but Grandad was downstairs. I remember my dad taking us to buy sweets on the way to the hospital to visit the new arrival. My mum remembers my dad bringing us to the hospital with chocolate-smeared faces and mismatched clothes.

And so it still seems strange to me that my brother is old enough to get married (despite him being 30 and running his own business). But indeed he is. The wedding took place down near the beach in Bournemouth, with the ceremony outside. The bride looked beautiful, there was lovely food and flowers and cake, and lots of dancing. Eliza was a bridesmaid, although she refused at the last minute to walk down the aisle. It was such a fantastic day *sniff.*

31 Weeks Pregnant Symptoms

What are pregnancy symptoms like at 31 weeks pregnant? I think I’m still feeling the residual effects of the second trimester wave of wallpaper removing energy, as I wore heels for most of the day of the wedding and stayed up till the end.

My dress was the Eden Short dress from Tiffany Rose. I’ll be reviewing it in another post with proper photos shortly, but it’s possibly my favourite dresssy dress ever, maternity or not. Tiffany Rose also make a range of maternity wedding dresses which makes me want to get married again right now. I might suggest this to Alex. He’ll agree, no-one wants to upset hormonal pregnant lady, do they?

I know these photos don’t really show my – pretty massive – 31 weeks pregnant bump, but I liked that it had both my babies in it.

I was 20 months old when my sister was born so absolutely no memories what so ever! BB will be 4 1/2+ so quite different for him!

Lovely photo! There’s four years between my younger sister and I, and there’ll be four years between Frog and this baby. It’s funny because most of my memories (the clear ones anyway) include my sister. I can vaguely remember her being born and helping my mum do her nappies and dress her. I wonder if it will be the same with Frog and her baby brother or sister. Makes me excited! Thank you for linking up to #BlogBumpClub again. xx
