Home, and away

We are home from our holiday, having had an amazing time and a insane amount of fun.  Bizarrely, we seemed to take a toddler and a small baby and returned with one water-loving small adult and one young child with lots of hair. Why do holidays make your children grow so much?

In advance of a proper post, here’s a couple of travel-related things I’ve been reading recently…

Predictably, as per packing when you have two children, the one thing we didn’t pack was the one thing we needed. I did take Snifflebabe and we did use it for a random cough Florence developed in the middle of the night, because we didn’t have…cough mixture

Would you sell all your things and go travelling with your family for a year? I love the idea, as per this article by Courtney Adamo, but I boringly don’t think I would sell our house to fund it (mainly due to, boringly, the London property market)

Eleanor from The Bristol Parent just took a month-long trip, read her tips on taking a European road trips with toddlers. Heather from Growing Spaces went on a  similar trip before her children started school.

If you need some inspiration on places to go here’s 50 places to take your children before they grow up.

Posts from at home here you might have missed – one of the things that surprised me most about post-pregnancy, what I don’t miss about life before children (going to Glastonbury festival, anyone?) and three quick parenting fixes.

Thank you so much for including Globalmouse! It’s so true how much children grow when we’er away isn’t it? Looking forward to reading about your trip!

I am so jealous of everyone going on holiday at the moment. I haven’t been abroad for over three years now!! I can’t wait to see your holiday snaps.
