Colourful prints for children and grown-ups
One of the brilliant things about getting our loft conversion done last year was all the dust everywhere…ha! I mean all the new wall space we gained (cue excitement from me and eyerolls galore from my husband about having to hang everything up and never having the right picture hooks). Since then I’ve been on the look-out for new colourful prints and frames.
A newer find is Desenio – have you heard of it? It’s an online Scandinavian print company with a huge range of designs, from minimalist quotes to maps and print designs for adults and children, too. Desenio got in touch and offered for me to review some of their prints, which turned out to be great fun for everyone (except my husband).
There are hundreds of designs, which kind of makes it hard to choose. And the good news is all the designs are really reasonably priced, too – starting from around £1. The most expensive one we had was the giant blue marble pattern below (which lives in our new bathroom – the print was £36 and the frame was £29. The print quality on this isn’t brilliant, but it is massive).
The frames from Desenio are also really good value. We have a lot of frames from *that* Swedish furniture giant that rhymes with Hi Dear but found these are cheaper and there’s also a huge vanity in loads of different styles and sizes. There’s also a whole range of metallic frames, from gold to copper and even rose gold – love.
I really liked this water print as it reminded me of holidays (the other poster is one I had made for Alex’s birthday – now finally housed in a new frame).
You can see our Desenio prints over on the children’s magnetic wall – but I loved this quote and also the giraffe for the girl’s rooms:
Where are your favourite places to buy prints? I’m always on the look-out…
Thanks to Desenio for sending us the products for review. More info here. More posts…our Ikea hack bookshelves, a mini toddler room tour and the brilliance of Lego tape.

I love prints, I tend to buy ones for children from This Modern Life.
