Babies, beaches and big milestones

Riding a fairground carousel horse

Nursery’s out for the summer – aka it’s shut for a week – so we’re currently staying down at my parent’s house in Bournemouth on a mini-break. They live by the sea so it always feels like being on holiday, and the weather has been very undecided, so it definitely feels like your typical British seaside break.

Today we caught the land train over to Bournemouth pier, had lunch on the beach, and then played in the water fountains. It was such a perfect little afternoon.

Eliza’s loved going in the sea. and has been a proper beach baby.

Alex stayed at home due to work, and although it’s lovely being here I’ve really missed him. Solo bedtime with two is not fun. Plus Florence seems to be changing every day, and her and Eliza are really interacting together at the moment. It’s so lovely. But parents always have loads of food and great snacks in, don’t they?

And there’s a stowaway which snuck along on this trip….Flo’s first tooth. It has only taken nine months to arrive – and made a massive fuss along the way – but yes, we finally have a tooth. Isn’t teething awful? I’d forgotten. But here’s to the rest of them.

Hope everyone’s having a good week x.

Oh I love that first shot of the pair of you – what a gorgeous picture! And how wonderful that you found some sunshine and the beach – your parents live in a beautiful spot!

Ah what lovely pics of you and your girls. And hurrah for the first tooth! Baby Girl’s first two came up this month too and I was, like, PHEW. Teething is zero fun.

Those top two photos are gorgeous! Boo to teething, it sucks. Luckily Tiger now has all his teeth, the whole process is so drawn out, wish they could just get it over and done with in a month! x
