The Importance Of Sleep!

Sorry to keep going on about this, but OH SLEEP. It’s one of the most important things when you’re a parent and one of the things you spend the most time thinking about.

My babies sleep like, well, babies – they wake up a lot, lots – so we don’t have a quality amount of bed time, but we use our bed for much more than sleep (no sniggering at the back there, think breastfeeding, story time, naps and so on). So when we sized up beds for more space  we were happy to swap our old uncomfortable, seen-better-days double for a brand new Eve mattress we were sent to review.

Step Forward The Eve Mattress…

The Eve mattress is only sold online meaning you can save loads on typically expensive high street prices, and Eve only sell one type of mattress (in uber comfortable sizes from single up to giant 7ft x 7ft, including Ikea sizes, king and super king).

This  means no worrying about the choice between memory foam, pockets, springs and so on. Which is really helpful when you’re buying online and can’t test it first.

The Eve Mattress Guarantee

Eve are so confident you’ll like it there’s a 100 day test period so you can send it back at any point during that time.

How The Eve Mattress Arrives:

The Eve Mattress arrives in a box, which makes it really handy for getting in the house and up the stairs. The stress itself is rolled up like a swiss roll and air sealed, so it and magically expands when you get it out and break the packaging.

The box is also bright yellow, covered in positive sleep sayings and pretty fun to hang out in if you’re three.

What Did We Think of Eve Mattress?

In action, the Eve memory foam mattress – with it’s distinctive yellow side stripe – is a lot softer than we were used to, and I was worried it would be too soft. But it’s actually surprisingly supportive and feels amazing (although it does get a lot softer over time, so be warned if you only like hard mattresses).

As we went for the Eve Mattress king size, it’s huge – it’s so comfortable that it means I don’t wake up with back ache from lying-down night feeds, and it’s softer on my head if I have to ditch the pillows due to close proximity of a small child.

We swapped our bed for a super kingsize after Baby Girl came along and it became apparent our bed was no longer our own. Best thing we’ve ever done. That mattress looks super comfy – and I love the photos of E in the box! What is it with kids and boxes?!

Ahhh lovely lovely sleep! The mattress sounds fab and process of buying it looks perfect. I always get too confused with choice and would much prefer a company to say “here you are, we’ve done shedloads of sleep research and this is the best mattress we came up with”. Brilliant!
