- I’m Gill, an early-thirtysomething first-time mum to the lovely Eliza, who made a speedy entrance to the world in early 2012 (you can read her birth story here). We live with my husband Alex in south London, in one of the Lonely Planet’s greatest little-known neighbourhoods
- A Baby on Board is all about my life in London as a new mum, covering everything around bringing up a toddler in London, from our life and style, through to baby clothes, beauty products and breastfeeding
- I love to write and have blogged on and off for years; I started A Baby on Board so I could record all about my pregnancy (you can see a time-lapse in my nine months in bump shots and blog posts post)
- I’m a freelance digital PR consultant and writer; pre-maternity leave I worked for a Soho-based digital PR agency on campaigns for major brands including Weight Watchers, innocent drinks, Samsung and Bravissimo
- I currently edit and contribute to TalkMum, the parenting community supported by Pregnacare
- I miss sleep!
About my blog…
- A Baby on Board was named as one of the Tots 100 top 50 pregnancy and baby blogs of 2012
- It featured in the December 2012 and December 2011 and editions of Pregnancy & Birth magazine and the November 2012 edition of Mother & Baby magazine
- It was the Mumsnet blog of the day in April 2013 (for the post on my lost love for teenage magazines)
- It has also featured in Gurgle magazine, Morrisons magazine and the Lambeth Weekender
- My post on finding out I was pregnant was named as one of the Tots 100 posts of 2012, and one I wrote about minding the baby age gap was a Tots 100 Good Read
