Photo shoot for Pregnancy & Birth Magazine

This week – in an interesting break between hospital appointments, meetings with the midwives, and work – saw me in North London at a photo shoot for Pregnancy & Birth magazine. It’s for a group feature on what surprised everyone the most about pregnancy, and I’m in it talking about being a first-time mum-to-be and blogger.

The shoot took place in a beautiful house in Stoke Newington which I really want to live in, when I win the lottery. As well as having my hair and make-up done, I got to wear this dress from Pretty Pregnant, which I absolutely loved. I’m currently debating the merits of buying it or this one from Seraphine, for Christmas parties. (I’m having enough trouble deciding what to have for lunch each day, so will probably be mulling this over for a while).

On the day it was really nice to meet the other pregnant mums-to-be who’ll also be featured in the story, and everyone from the magazine, who were all uber lovely. Plus it was realms away from my usual bump-shot iPhone photo shoots with my less-than professional photographer husband. Above anything though, I’m so pleased about the fact I’ll be able to look back on this as a proper printed record, of this point in time.

The feature is due out in the December issue, which will be on sale in November.
