Baby steps

London in the snowSo we’ve had quite a week! There were lots of things I was going to write about in this post.

Like how we’re getting on so much better following Eliza’s first full three days at nursery (once she’s distracted she really likes it, once I’m distracted I’m not quite as emotional as I was last week).

Or about my new job (I’m really enjoying it).

Or even the snow (we’ve had loads in London).

But instead, Eliza eclipsed all of that news today by taking her first proper, all-by-herself steps. We were surprised, delighted, utterly amazed. We were also in the pub planning her joint first birthday party, which will be a funny detail to recount in years to come. It was surprisingly emotional; that’s our baby, our tiny amazing baby I grew inside me for nine months. So exciting.

Have a good weekend x.

Thank you! I know, I’ll be constantly running after her and retrieving her from where she shouldn’t be. Lots of fun though x
